What's in my traveling bag?

Travelers Tales:

[Hey guys,

this week we are staying in Rome. But the new episode of Sunday Travelers Tales will be about something I personally find very interesting! When I look around to other bloggers or you-tubers I will always take my time and read about. Well I guess that for women, bags are very important and what's inside them even more interesting! So this weeks blog will be about what I have in my traveling bag. So here it goes...

1. Bag: ok so the bag itself is carefully picked when I will be traveling. I always notice that I will take one that closes with a zip firmly and I can hang it in both shoulders. Also I don't take with me big bags. I go with a medium size so that it fits all necessary things and it won't be heavy.

2. Sunglasses: to protect my eyes from the sun they are always with me along with their case. Fan fact about sunglasses is that I love to see sunglasses in airport shops and most of my sunglasses are bought from Larnaca's airport shops. I know it's not very clever since if something happens I won't be able to fix them easily but show some understanding to this little travelers needs..;)

3. Wallet, Passport & Traveling docs: well these are pretty basic things to have in a traveling bag, not much to say here.

4. Tissues/ wipe outs/ sanitary napkins: I always refresh my bags with tissues since you never know what could happen and you might need one. Wipe outs are usually in a mum's bag but they do come in handy at many cases (mostly if your clothes get stained). Also I always keep a smaller bag with a few sanitary napkins just to be safe.

5. Cell phone/ camera/ portable charger/ earplugs: my cell phone actually is hardly in my bag, usually it's in my hands, but during the flight it's in there along with ear plugs and a charger. Also I keep my camera with me since I might need to take a photo with better resolution..:)

6. Sunscreen: I always apply sunscreen on my face. Every time I go out. It's very good for your skin and I would recommend that you make a habit of it. Take a sunscreen with a high level of protection and apply it often during the day especially if you are going out. Lately I tried a brand from an Organic shop (a bio sunscreen) since I believe that it's best for our body and skin to receive as few chemicals as possible. Sunscreen is something we use everyday in our lives so it's worth trying a bio product.

7. Lip balm: to sooth your lips if needed. Because of the temperature changing during a trip it's a necessity.

8. Notebook/ pen & USB: usually I might need to take a note of my thoughts during a flight. Also I keep some useful telephone numbers or codes in my notebook. Or in any case you might need to write down something. I know you all have your cell phones. I do too. But writing some things down is better..;) Also I keep a USB in my bag traveling or not.

9. Scrunchies and hair clips: very much needed. I might want to leave my hair loose or grab them up in a bun or braid them. I have everywhere hair clips. In my bag as well!

10. Bottle of water: after passing customs and checks where they take liquids I always buy a bottle of water to have with me during the flight.

11. Book/ magazine: a flight for me is an ideal time for reading. Casual or not casual I take with me something to keep me busy. Also during big flights I always have with me my flight pillow. Yes I could sleep during the whole flight and wake up when landing. Try it if you can sleep in the plane it's very refreshing during the trip.

12. Eye drops: in case my eyes get dry or if there is dust in the atmosphere and I need to hydrate my eyes.

13. Nail buffer: for girls that understand that if one nail breaks it's disturbing and it's important to be smoothed again.

14. Gum: for landing. It soothes my ears from pressure changes during landing so I always have them with me.

**15. Gloves/jacket/umbrella: if my destination has cold and rainy weather.

So pretty much this is it. I hope you find it interesting and read through my list. Can't wait for your comments if you have any.
Also I was thinking of having a giveaway when I reach 700 followers. Tell me what you think and what would you prefer to be the gift..I have something in my mind but let me know!!
So that sums it up for today guys, thanks for reading. Until we meet again in one of our traveling locations, I send you my love!

Cypriot Tales, Episode 11. Kornos, Cyprus

Travelers Tales: [ D ear co-travelers, This week finally, as promised, Sunday Travelers Tales is presenting the beautiful and graphical village of Kornos. Kornos belongs to the district of Larnaca but is located in the center between the three big cities of Larnaca, Nicosia and Limassol. The traditional village of Cyprus lies in the middle of a small torrent and extends a long distance alongside the riverbed. It is surrounded by hills covered with low pine trees. It has a about 2000 permanent residents. Kornos is placed back in the 9th century and it was first built by a group of people coming from the Byzantine village of Koronos, from Limnos. They were refugees from Byzantium coming to Cyprus to find a place to live at the time when the iconoclasm was at its peak. This is the reason why in the village one may find houses build in the Aegean style. In the old village many houses and mansions have been restored but kept their traditional folk architecture. In the center of...

Greek Tales, Episode 13. Kastoria, Greece

Travelers Tales: [ D ear co-travelers, after our long stay in the Italian capital we will head back in a Greek city located north in the region of West Macedonia. A very beautiful and graphical city, ideal for travelers who care to see Greece from another perspective.  Kastoria is a city of about 35,000 permanent residents and it is situated in the western shore of Lake Orestiada. Kastoria is very famous for its leather jackets and furs. The dominant theory about the origin of the city's name is that it comes from the Greek word "kastoras" (κάστορας in Greek), which means beaver. Trade in the animal's fur has traditionally played an important part of the town's economy and it started back in the 14th century. Other industries include the local production of wheat, apples, wine and fish (trouts). Kastoria is also known for its many Byzantine churches and architecture. Some of them have been restored. Also the Museum of Byzantine History is a p...

Greek Tales Episode 6, Part 1. Ithaca, Greece

Gidaki beach Travelers Tales: [ Dear fellow travellers,   Brace yourselves because this week we are traveling together to the land of Odysseus. The land for which the Greek poet Constantine Cavafy got inspired and wrote his famous poem “Ithaka” [1].  Odysseus according to the Greek Mythology was the King of Ithaca, a very clever man; a true hero. Odysseus after the fall of Troy and the end of the ten-year Trojan War begins his journey back home. It takes him another ten years to reach Ithaca. His adventures are described in Homers Odyssey. Ithaca belongs to the Eptanisa complex and is located in the Ionian Sea. It is the second smallest of the seven main Ionian Islands after Paxoi. After the catastrophic earthquake of 1953 which ruined entire towns and villages in Ithaca, hundreds of people migrated leaving the island with around 3000 permanent residents. As a result of this catastrophe the island remained sparsely populated and the houses are not allowed t...
