Travelers Tales:
[Dear co-travelers,
Hope you enjoy this weeks' destination and have a lovely week everybody!! Until we meet again in one of our travelling locations, wishing you my very best!
[Dear co-travelers,
Ok guys, Rome is not a city that needs any
particular recommendations. It’s just Rome!!! So there is not really place for more to say. It is a European capital that a traveler must definitely visit at some point and maybe more that one times. There are many sites to see, many streets to walk, restaurants to taste the famous Italian cuisine and off course a lot of shopping to be done.
Personally I found it very enjoyable and fascinating to walk
the streets of Rome and discover all the small and big piazzas, shops and restaurants. There are many steps on the way but
every time it’s a lovely opportunity to pose and capture the moment.
I would recommend to take your
time and visit the basics. I made it to the Colosseum and the Palatine Hill, the Roman Forum, the Sistine Chapel, the Vatican City and museums, the Fontana di Trevi and the Spanish steps.
Off course site-seeing was kept a bit back when I discovered the via del Corso. Meaning Romes shopping street. So don’t forget to shop and off course taste the
marvelous Italian cuisine. One of my trip's highlights was the restaurant La Rosa Rossa 💛! Taste the food there and you will
remember this little happy traveler from Cyprus (check it out on Trip Advisor
for directions). Also check out Hotel Barcelo Aran Mantegna (on Booking) if you want your
stay in Roma to be a little bit more unique.
Fan fact of the trip was that during our walk to the Colosseum we witnessed a real time burglar persecution from the Italian police. He was pick pocketing and when a policeman saw him he started running right beside us. Fortunately he was caught in the end..:) Also unfortunately the Fontana di Trevi was under renovation so the photos weren't as good as I would like them to be but..oh well more reasons to visit Roma again! :)
